Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eldon Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Jong Dae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Eldon Mack has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eldon Mack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Jong Dae! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dae closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mack quickly recovers to half guard. Dae is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mack has managed to free his arm - good work. Mack is looking for a sweep. Dae is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dae thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mack's head. Dae decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Dae misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dae throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A slapping body kick lands there for Mack. Mack looks to clinch and Dae counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dae is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mack defends it well. Dae sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack has a hand on Dae's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Dae takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Dae trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mack regains half guard. Dae passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack is bucking up trying to escape but Dae cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Mack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dae looking to finish Mack with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mack! Dae postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mack looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mack wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Dae is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mack has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mack trying to control the hands but Dae breaks the grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dae lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Dae just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Dae looking for the choke but no joy. Dae has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dae tries to get the hooks in deep but Mack pushed the leg off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dae is riding his opponent, not letting Mack buck him off. Dae is looking for a rear naked choke here but Mack reverses the position brilliantly into Dae's guard!
Mack will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dae looking for a sweep. Not yet Dae, not yet. Dae working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dae looks winded! Dae managing to control the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mack preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Jong Dae dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mack tries to clinch but Dae moves out of range. Mack throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dae's head. Dae shoots in and bounces Mack off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dae slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dae wants to stand and escape but instead Mack has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Dae wants to improve his position but instead Mack has moved into half guard.
Mack is looking for a kimura but Dae is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mack to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dae is looking to control Mack's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dae avoid being mounted? Dae keeping hold of Mack's head, controlling as best he can. Mack seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dae does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dae tries to roll over but Mack keeps him under control. Mack is thwarting Dae's attempts to control the position. Dae wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kim Jong Dae. Dae shoots in and gets a takedown into Mack's guard. Dae is breathing heavily. Dae looking to pass the guard. Mack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dae is one step ahead there. Dae in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mack avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dae throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dae sitting in guard here, content to control. Dae wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving. Mack wants to improve his position but instead Dae has moved into half guard.
Dae looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mack is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dae is looking to take a break and control but Mack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dae working over Mack with some ground and pound. Mack looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dae is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mack has managed to free his arm - good work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mack is trying to stand back up but Dae is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Jong Dae showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Mack dives in and grabs Dae's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dae pushes down on Mack's head and hops out. Mack swats away the attempt to clinch by Dae. Mack fails with a takedown attempt. Dae looks to score with a jab to the body but Mack is just out of range. Eldon Mack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dae tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mack defends well and Dae ends up having to push Mack into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mack has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dae after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eldon Mack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dae shoots in but no luck this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dae throws a head kick that misses and Mack counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dae is lucky that one didn't land flush. Dae doesn't manage to clinch there - Mack circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack has a takedown stuffed. Dae tries for a takedown but Mack sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dae closes the distance and clinches up with Mack, looking for a takedown. Dae pushes Mack against the cage but Mack circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mack misses with a wild body shot. Dae misses with a takedown attempt and Mack counters with a leg kick. Mack wants to clinch. Mack throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dae fails in his attempt to clinch. Dae keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dae shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mack as he avoids it easily. Mack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dae is fending him off so far but Mack persists. Nope, Dae circles away and we're back to standing. Mack closes the distance and clinches up with Dae, looking for a takedown. Mack pushes Dae against the cage but Dae circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dae gets a double leg takedown into Mack's guard. Mack has control of Dae's left arm, preventing Dae from doing any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dae advances to half guard. Mack trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dae seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mack tries to get to full guard but Dae has control of the leg. Dae stands up out of the half guard. Dae has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mack. Dae throws a head kick but Mack moves out of range.
Dae shoots for a takedown but Mack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mack fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dae avoids it really well and circles away. Mack gets caught flat footed, as Dae shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kim Jong Dae has got the better of the ground game so far. Dae trying to control but Mack is working from the bottom. Dae sitting in guard here, content to control. Dae looking to sit in guard and control but Mack gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dae is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Kim Jong Dae comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dae winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
