Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Justin Scott enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fredrick Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Scott!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott has his takedown stuffed

and Salazar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Salazar.
Salazar tries to pull guard but Scott won't allow it.
Salazar blocking some punches.

Salazar breaks from the clinch.
Salazar shoots in looking for a takedown but Scott manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Salazar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Scott throws a right and a left that both miss.

Scott shoots in and bounces Salazar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Scott won't allow Salazar to sweep him here.
Salazar pulls Scott in close to his closed guard and prevents Scott from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Salazar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Salazar wants to sweep here but Scott controlling him for the moment.
Scott throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Salazar is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Salazar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scott swivels and escapes.

Scott shoots in for a double leg but Salazar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Salazar clinches up with Scott and pushes him back against the cage.

Salazar wants the takedown. Scott is fighting it off but Salazar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Scott's guard against the cage.

Salazar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scott swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Salazar is breathing heavily.
Salazar wants to get up but he can't break Scott's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Justin Scott.
Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Salazar, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Salazar against the cage but Salazar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Salazar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Scott swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Salazar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Scott.

Salazar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Scott looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Scott wants to control but Salazar postures up.
Salazar gets to mount! Scott was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Salazar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Scott wants to control but Salazar is having none of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Fredrick Salazar will probably get the nod.

Salazar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Scott's guard.

Salazar shoots in for a takedown but Scott shows good takedown defense.

Scott shoots for a double leg takedown but Salazar sprawls well. He's pushed Scott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Scott is trying to force a seperation but Salazar has the dominant position.

Fredrick Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Scott.

Salazar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground.

Salazar pulls Scott in close to his closed guard and prevents Scott from doing any damage or advancing position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fredrick Salazar will probably get the nod.
