Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kullervo Hikipera!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Charles looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hikipera scores with a kick to the body.
Charles looks to score with a jab to the body but Hikipera is just out of range.
Charles showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hikipera.
Hikipera throws a right and a left that Charles avoids nicely.
Hikipera keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Calvin Charles has been cut.
No joy there for Hikipera, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Charles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hikipera lands a big head kick that sends Charles tumbling to the mat! Hikipera takes a step backwards and waves Charles back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Charles on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Charles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hikipera circles away.

Charles slips a jab and a cross from Hikipera.
A nice combination there by Charles.
Hikipera tries to land a front kick but Charles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hikipera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Charles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hikipera throws a leg kick but Charles sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Charles fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hikipera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've been informed that Hikipera has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Charles is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Charles really is a fat lump.
Hikipera tries to bum rush Charles with a series of wild strikes but Charles uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Charles shoots in for a takedown but Hikipera shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Charles wants to clinch up but Hikipera keeps it at a distance.
Charles chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hikipera can pounce on him.
Hikipera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Charles.

Charles shoots in for a takedown but Hikipera shows good takedown defense.
Hikipera lands with a nice body kick.
Charles has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hikipera lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Charles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hikipera scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Charles shoots for a takedown but Hikipera saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hikipera lands a head shot.
Hikipera takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hikipera thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Charles if he has to take too many more of those.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Charles tries to clinch but Hikipera moves out of range.
Charles thuds his shin into the meat of Hikipera's side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Charles. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Charles is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Hikipera lands a big right hand that drops Charles! The killer instinct kicks in and Hikipera finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Hikipera!
