Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Basky Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham tries to land a leg kick but Evans saw it coming and moves away.
Durham scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Evans drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Evans forces his way into half guard.
Evans wants to control but Durham is keeping him busy.
Durham is looking to improve his position.
Evans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Durham has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evans is working away from the top position though.

Evans is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Durham is just riding it out for now. Evans eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Durham has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evans is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans wants to stand up but Durham has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Durham is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Evans's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Evans's back!

Durham is looking for the choke from the back position but Evans is controlling his hands well.

Durham is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Evans has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Durham has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Evans taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Durham doesn't care though - he's delighted!
