Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Waitzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Stupka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waitzel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dimmu Borgir - Puritania. The crowd seem to be enjoying Stupka's choice of entrance music: Red Army March. Shane Waitzel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stupka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A punch combination from Waitzel misses.
Waitzel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Stupka comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Waitzel lands with a hook. Stupka tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Rocco Stupka has been cut.
Stupka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Waitzel sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stupka misses with a few strikes there.
Stupka lands a nice looking body shot.
Stupka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stupka slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Shane Waitzel has been cut.

Stupka does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Waitzel lands a hook that snaps the head of Stupka backwards.

That has opened up Rocco Stupka's cut even more.

Stupka is trying to push Waitzel away but Waitzel has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

We've been informed that Stupka has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Stupka has Waitzel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Waitzel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rocco Stupka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stupka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Waitzel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Waitzel lands a left and a right that send Stupka crashing to the mat, dazed. Waitzel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Stupka goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Waitzel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Waitzel tries to clinch there but Stupka circles away.

Stupka needs to keep his hands up - Waitzel had a free shot at his head there.

Rocco Stupka's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stupka gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Waitzel regains guard.

Stupka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Waitzel drops Stupka with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Stupka looks back up at him and smiles so Waitzel waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rocco Stupka's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
