Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Laurence Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beetch Scruff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Sick Puppies - Cancer blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scruff throws out a leg kick but Smith moves out of range and Scruff only half commits.
A swing and a miss from Smith.
Scruff moves into the clinch.
Scruff manages to break the clinch.
Scruff throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Scruff ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Scruff takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Scruff misses with a lunging right hand
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Scruff moves out of range of the strikes.
Scruff scores with a crisp jab that stopped Smith in his tracks.
Scruff misses with a hook. Smith ducked under it nicely.
Scruff shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scruff was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Scruff rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage.
Scruff breaks from the clinch.

Smith drives through and clinches with Scruff against the cage.
Smith can't find room to land a body shot as Scruff controls the action.
Scruff can't get the takedown.
Scruff tries a body shot but Smith blocks it.
Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Smith is pushing Scruff up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Scruff jumps guard but Smith stands there with Scruff around his waist. Scruff gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Laurence Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beetch Scruff.
Scruff breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A frustrated look appears on Scruff's face as he tries to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scruff closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Scruff pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Smith connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Scruff's hands.

Scruff lands a really nice looking cross but Smith seems unphased.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith scores with a sloppy right hand. Scruff should have avoided that one.
Scruff is rocked!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith drops Scruff with a big left hand! Scruff is injured, injured bad! Smith jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
