Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legs Iii tries to clinch but Lambert moves away
and Lambert counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Legs Iii's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Legs Iii throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lambert escapes and throws Legs Iii's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lambert wants to work for an arm triangle but Legs Iii is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Legs Iii escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lambert gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Legs Iii takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Legs Iii is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lambert lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Lambert seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Legs Iii for as long as he can get away with.
Austin Lambert overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Austin Lambert.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lambert, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
