Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonas Brother! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Bombard! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brother shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bombard sprawls well. Bombard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brother gets slowly back to his feet. Bombard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bombard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Brother scores with a takedown into Bombard's guard. Brother trying to control but Bombard is working from the bottom. Brother stays in close to Bombard's body and controls the position. Brother wants to control from the top but Bombard keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brother is looking to work some ground and pound but Bombard has wrist control.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jonas Brother just wasn't active enough. Brother fails to land the takedown. Brother is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bombard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonas Brother. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Brother. Bombard throws a body punch but Brother moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brother gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bombard counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bombard. Bombard lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Jonas Brother has been cut. Bombard keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brother's efforts to push away. Bombard creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brother's defenses. A shot in the inside from Bombard. Brother is breathing heavily. A frustrated look appears on Brother's face as he tries to break the clinch. Bombard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jonas Brother seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bombard moves into the clinch successfully.
Bombard lands an elbow just above Brother 's eye.
Jonas Brother's cut is getting worse. Brother takes an elbow to the forehead. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A quick uppercut on the inside from Bombard.
Jeez, Jonas Brother's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bombard creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Brother's defenses.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jonas Brother's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
