and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De La Cruz's guard.

De La Cruz controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now De La Cruz is on top in guard.
De La Cruz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De La Cruz has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh but Johnson is tightening it up a little... De La Cruz has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! De La Cruz reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! De La Cruz taps out! Nice BJJ there by Johnson!
