Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weidman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Alab ng Puso-Abra. Chris Weidman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Weidman! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miles misses with a head kick.
Weidman doesn't manage to clinch there - Miles circles away.
Weidman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Miles tries to improve position but can't. Weidman trying to control the position but Miles is working away. Miles manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Weidman looks winded! Weidman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Miles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Weidman is working away from the top position though. Weidman trying to control from Miles's half guard. Miles has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles striking off his back but it's not causing Weidman any problems. Miles is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Weidman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Weidman told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Weidman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Weidman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Miles, up you get! Weidman tries to clinch there but Miles circles away.
Miles shoots in and drives through. Weidman sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miles closes the distance and clinches up with Weidman, looking for a takedown. Miles pushes Weidman against the cage but Weidman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Miles lands with a shot to the body. No luck for Miles with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Miles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miles scores with a hook to the body. Weidman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Miles will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A combination from Weidman does no damage. Miles shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Weidman sprawls well. Weidman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Miles gets slowly back to his feet. Weidman tries to keep at a distance but Miles has taken the fight into the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miles is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Weidman is defending well.

Miles working hard to break the clinch. Weidman tries to circle away but Miles has him pinned against the cage. Weidman looking to slow down the pace here. Still in the clinch, Miles scores with a nice short uppercut. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Weidman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Miles pulls him back up using the underhooks. Weidman is pressed up against the cage. Miles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Weidman down to the mat. Weidman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles tries a head kick but it misses.
Miles shoots in and drives through. Weidman sprawls well. Weidman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Miles. Weidman dives in for a single leg takedown but Miles sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Miles is trying to pull guard but Weidman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Miles turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Miles manages to end up in side control. Weidman holds on to Miles's head and controls the position momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Weidman can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Miles will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Weidman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Miles to the mat! Miles manages to get full guard. Miles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Weidman manages to get himself to full guard.
Miles pushes down on Weidman's leg and manages to get into half guard. Miles controlling the action here. Miles trying to control the action but Weidman is working from the bottom. Weidman is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles is looking for a kimura but Weidman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miles to get the leverage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Weidman can do anything to dispel that myth. Weidman trying to control here.
Weidman is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Weidman gets full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miles wants to control from the top but Weidman keeps moving. Miles decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Weidman wants to clinch. Miles tries a low kick but Weidman avoids it. Miles shoots in for a double leg but Weidman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Miles shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weidman but Weidman pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Miles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weidman is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Weidman tries for a takedown but Miles sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Miles dives in for a single leg takedown but Weidman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Miles is looking to take this one to the mat. Miles avoiding damage as Weidman throws knees to the body.
Weidman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miles walks away with a smile on his face. Weidman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Miles fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Miles scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles lands a nice hook to Weidman's body. Weidman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Miles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Anthony Miles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Miles with a poor takedown and Weidman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miles looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Miles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Weidman is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weidman wants to pass the guard but Miles is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miles is looking for a sweep. Weidman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Anthony Miles will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Miles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Weidman is fending him off so far but Miles persists. Nope, Weidman circles away and we're back to standing. Miles fails with the takedown. Miles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Weidman as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Miles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Weidman. Miles misses with a takedown attempt - Weidman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The fight stays on the outside here - Weidman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Weidman throws a front kick aimed at Miles's knee but Miles avoids it well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weidman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miles manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Miles shoots in but no luck this time. Weidman throws a low kick but Miles avoids it. Miles forces Weidman back against the cage and clinches. Miles successfully pulls guard.
Weidman works a leg free and moves into half guard. Weidman is trying for a kimura here. Miles looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Weidman wins by kimura!
