Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jomhod Kiatadisak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Woo! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Woo is defended easily by Kiatadisak. Woo has managed to clinch.
Kiatadisak blocks an uppercut.
Kiatadisak looks to throw an elbow but misses. Woo pulls guard successfully.
Woo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Woo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Woo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kiatadisak manages to avoid the submission attempt. Woo misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kiatadisak is trying to buck Woo off. The ground and pound from Woo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Woo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kiatadisak tries to escape but Woo is in control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kiatadisak has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woo cracks Kiatadisak with a big elbow. Kiatadisak tries to escape but Woo is in control. Woo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woo advances to mount. Kiatadisak really wants to buck Woo off and get back to his feet. Woo lands a heavy elbow. You get the feeling that Kiatadisak really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woo tries to control but Kiatadisak wriggling away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Woo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Woo raining down shots from the mount! Woo landing strikes from the mount and Kiatadisak is in trouble! Kiatadisak tries to buck Woo off but he can't manage it. Woo breaks from Kiatadisak's wrist control and lands an elbow. Kiatadisak really wants to buck Woo off and get back to his feet. Woo scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kiatadisak?
Woo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kiatadisak is rocked! Woo postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Kiatadisak is out cold - huge knockout for Woo!
