Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John MacTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Tyzzkling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyzzkling has chosen Dagger (mustasch) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John MacTavish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Tyzzkling! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body punch from MacTavish. MacTavish throws a nice looking combination but Tyzzkling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tyzzkling dives in and grabs MacTavish's left leg, looking for a takedown. MacTavish pushes down on Tyzzkling's head and hops out. Tyzzkling instigates a clinch. MacTavish is trying to break the clinch but Tyzzkling has him pressed against the cage. MacTavish has had enough of the clinch but Tyzzkling keeps him there for the moment. MacTavish tries to break the clinch but Tyzzkling is controlling the position. Tyzzkling stops a takedown attempt from MacTavish.

Tyzzkling has MacTavish pressed against the cage, preventing MacTavish from circling away and getting back to striking at range. MacTavish breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
MacTavish throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. MacTavish jabs Tyzzkling to the body, keeping him at a distance. Tyzzkling looks winded! Tyzzkling walks into a left hand. Tyzzkling tries to clinch but MacTavish is having none of it. MacTavish clinches up against the cage. I was talking to MacTavish's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. MacTavish is trying to push Tyzzkling away but Tyzzkling has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. MacTavish has had enough of the clinch but Tyzzkling keeps him there for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacTavish working hard to break the clinch. Tyzzkling's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. MacTavish is trying to push Tyzzkling away but Tyzzkling has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Tyzzkling breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
MacTavish throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tyzzkling. MacTavish tries a low kick but Tyzzkling avoids it. MacTavish throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. MacTavish gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyzzkling to score an easy takedown into full guard. Tyzzkling throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tyzzkling working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. MacTavish working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyzzkling missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tyzzkling throwing strikes from guard but MacTavish blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyzzkling drops back looking for a leg! MacTavish is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and MacTavish manages to kick Tyzzkling off! Tyzzkling jumps back into MacTavish's guard. Tyzzkling lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyzzkling loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tyzzkling throwing strikes from guard but MacTavish blocks nicely. MacTavish preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacTavish has momentary wrist control but Tyzzkling slips an elbow through the middle. MacTavish doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tyzzkling distracts MacTavish with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tyzzkling is looking to work some ground and pound but MacTavish has wrist control. MacTavish looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyzzkling passes MacTavish's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tyzzkling scores with a couple of good hammerfists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyzzkling thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed MacTavish's head. Ground and pound from Tyzzkling. Tyzzkling takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Tyzzkling missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Tyzzkling not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tyzzkling scoring with strikes to the body and head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tyzzkling looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tyzzkling lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Tyzzkling lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Tyzzkling dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
MacTavish pushes Tyzzkling up against the cage in a clinch. Tyzzkling escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
MacTavish instigates a clinch. Tyzzkling is trying to pull guard but MacTavish turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. MacTavish tries to break the clinch but Tyzzkling is controlling the position. MacTavish takes a knee to the side of the body. Tyzzkling goes for a takedown attempt but MacTavish pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
John MacTavish is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tyzzkling will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. John MacTavish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Tyzzkling. Nice takedown defense from MacTavish. No joy for Tyzzkling on that attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tyzzkling drives through and clinches with MacTavish against the cage.

Tyzzkling is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst MacTavish is controlling him. Tyzzkling has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Blunt Force Training. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyzzkling has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes MacTavish off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. MacTavish looks to land a combination but Tyzzkling avoids it well. Tyzzkling closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming MacTavish to the mat! MacTavish manages to get full guard. MacTavish keeping moving, preventing Tyzzkling from controlling successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tyzzkling looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Tyzzkling postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacTavish is working an open guard so Tyzzkling takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Tyzzkling tries for a takedown but MacTavish sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The fighters circle momentarily. MacTavish darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tyzzkling takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Tyzzkling moves in looking to clinch but MacTavish pushes him off. MacTavish displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tyzzkling. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! MacTavish connects with a body shot that sends Tyzzkling's belly button to the back. MacTavish throws a hook but Tyzzkling blocks it. MacTavish moves into the clinch. Tyzzkling is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but MacTavish is defending well. MacTavish breaks the clinch.
Tyzzkling uses good head movement to avoid the hook from MacTavish.

Tyzzkling jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as MacTavish walks away with a smile on his face. Tyzzkling gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tyzzkling shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says MacTavish as he avoids it easily. John MacTavish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyzzkling on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tyzzkling drops his hands momentarily and MacTavish takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nice uppercut there from MacTavish. Tyzzkling on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Tyzzkling is rocked! MacTavish finds Tyzzkling's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Tyzzkling flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. MacTavish lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Tyzzkling will be OK.
