Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Satorzoda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Chip! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Satorzoda doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chip counters with a big head kick but Satorzoda shrugs it off. Chip darts in and clinches Satorzoda up against the cage. Satorzoda tries to pull guard but Chip forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Satorzoda wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Satorzoda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Satorzoda wants to break the clinch but can't.

Chip crunches a lovely knee into Satorzoda's ribcage. Satorzoda wants a takedown but no success here.
Chip gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Satorzoda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chip pulls his head out easily. Satorzoda wants to improve his position but Chip is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Satorzoda moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Satorzoda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Satorzoda is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Satorzoda passes into half guard. Satorzoda trying to control the action but Chip is working from the bottom. Satorzoda seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Chip has recovered full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chip looking to hit a scissor sweep but Satorzoda is one step ahead there. Chip preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Satorzoda stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chip shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Satorzoda is controlling Chip's posture. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chip accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Satorzoda doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Chip is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Satorzoda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chip manages to get himself to full guard.
Satorzoda engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Satorzoda wants to control from the top but Chip keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Satorzoda is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Satorzoda wasn't doing enough on the ground. Satorzoda slips a jab and a cross from Chip.
Chip fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Satorzoda sprawls well initially but Chip persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are battling for position here. Satorzoda manages to regain full guard. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Satorzoda holds on and takes a little breather. Satorzoda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chip is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Satorzoda dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Satorzoda tries to clinch but fails miserably and Chip counters with a head kick. That will keep Satorzoda thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Satorzoda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chip but Chip pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chip circles away from the clinch attempt and Chip counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chip. Chip blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Satorzoda is trying to break free. Satorzoda tries to pull guard but Chip forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Chip breaks the clinch.
Chip moves into the clinch. Satorzoda drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Chip tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chip lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Satorzoda! Chip avoids the attempt from Satorzoda to control. Satorzoda regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda wants to get back to full guard. Chip not landing any meaningful shots this time. Satorzoda is looking for a sweep. Chip is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Satorzoda trying to control here.

Chip throws a big right hand that misses. Satorzoda has control of Chip's left arm, preventing Chip from doing any damage. Satorzoda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Satorzoda seems content to control. Satorzoda passes the guard and advances to mount! Satorzoda controlling from mount. Chip defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Satorzoda.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda thowing shots but they're missing. Satorzoda looking to finish with strikes here!
Satorzoda trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chip tries to hold on but Satorzoda postures up. Chip really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Satorzoda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chip can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Satorzoda dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Satorzoda manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chip on his heels. He'll look to pass Chip's guard now, I'm sure. Satorzoda pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chip is keeping the position for now. Satorzoda is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Satorzoda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Satorzoda gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mark Satorzoda is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Satorzoda shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Chip taking some punishment here, with Satorzoda in his half guard. Satorzoda is looking to advance position but Chip won't allow it. Satorzoda throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Satorzoda stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Chip shoots and misses and Satorzoda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Satorzoda is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chip's guard. Satorzoda is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda works a leg free and moves into half guard. Chip is in trouble now - Satorzoda has advanced to mount! Chip swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Satorzoda looking to control and managing it successfully. Satorzoda throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Chip because Satorzoda loaded up on that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda lands a nice shot to the head. Satorzoda thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Satorzoda is standing up, even though he is in mount. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Satorzoda. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A punch combination from Chip misses. Phil Chip has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Satorzoda is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Left hook, right uppercut from Chip.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Satorzoda showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Satorzoda, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
