Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gill throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nelson. Gill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nelson.
Gill fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nelson avoids it really well and circles away. Nelson misses with a body shot.
Gill takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Gill decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nelson's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Nelson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gill. Gill looking to pass the guard. Gill chips away with some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gill stopping the sweep attempt from Nelson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gill puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Nelson won't allow Gill to pass to mount. Gill is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nelson wants to control but Gill passes into side.
Gill lands a decent elbow from side control. Gill lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gill cracks Nelson with a big right hand but Nelson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gill working the ground and pound. Gill creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gill working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gill landing a few strikes. Gill wants to control but Nelson is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gill taking a breather here. Nelson defending against the ground and pound. Gill has hold of Nelson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Nelson seems comfortable defending it but Gill has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Nelson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Nelson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gill couldn't care less - he's delighted!
