PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Thyme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akim Lamouna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamouna has chosen chrissy zebby - my ancestors as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thyme uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lamouna.
Lamouna swings for the body but Thyme moves out of range.
Lamouna tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thyme manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thyme dodges the punch combination from Lamouna.
Thyme slips a jab and a cross from Lamouna.
Lamouna fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thyme manages to avoid it.
Thyme uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lamouna.
Lamouna looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Thyme counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Thyme wants to control from the top but Lamouna keeps moving.
Thyme throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lamouna works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Lamouna had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thyme defends it easily.

Thyme is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lamouna is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Thyme really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Thyme not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Lamouna is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Thyme will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lamouna is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Thyme has his hands clasped together but Lamouna extends and breaks Thyme's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lamouna.
