Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lama tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lama stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Lama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lama moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lama sprawls well. Lama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.

Lama drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lama has Jones in his guard.

Jones stands up from Lama's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lama pinned against the cage. Lama gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ai Lama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lama in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones moves into full mount! Lama won't be happy about that!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Jones stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lama lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lama is working for a kimura but Jones is defending it quite comfortably.

Jones is doing well to control the position and prevent Lama from advancing to side control.
Lama is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ai Lama showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
