Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Theo Rains (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Lattavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Theo Rains has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Theo Rains! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anthony Lattavo! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Rains looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lattavo throws a big shot that misses. Rains throws a right and a left that Lattavo avoids nicely. Lattavo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Rains misses with a double jab.
Lattavo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Lattavo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rains. Rains fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lattavo keeps the fight on the outside. Lattavo ducks under a wild hook from Rains. Rains moves into range and clinches up with Lattavo. Lattavo scores with a shoulder strike. Rains misses with a hook from the clinch. Lattavo is trying to break free. Lattavo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A head punch on the inside from Lattavo fails to land. Lattavo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short right from Rains on the inside. Rains turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Lattavo wants to control but Rains postures up. Lattavo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lattavo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rains. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lattavo stops Rains from passing to mount. Lattavo tries to buck Rains off but Rains is having none of it. Lattavo struggling a bit here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rains closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rains is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rains wants to work for an arm triangle but Lattavo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rains throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lattavo scores with a few weak punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lattavo is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Lattavo is looking to control Rains's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lattavo avoid being mounted? Rains moves nicely into side control. Rains is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lattavo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lattavo struggling a bit here. Lattavo avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rains.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lattavo can't do much from the bottom here. Rains wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lattavo, who protects the arm well. Lattavo struggling a bit here. Lattavo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rains kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The strikes coming from Rains are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Lattavo is looking to reverse the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lattavo misses with an uppercut. Rains saw that one coming. Rains shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lattavo as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rains tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lattavo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lattavo misses the shot to the body. Lattavo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Theo Rains has been cut. A combination from Rains does no damage. The fighters circling - Lattavo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Rains misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rains is breathing heavily. Lattavo jabs at Rains's body. Lattavo digs a good hook to Rains's body.
Rains shoots in but Lattavo avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Theo Rains. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rains ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lattavo moves away. Lattavo lands a right hook to the body.
Lattavo looks to land a combination but Rains avoids it well. Rains moves away from the strike by Lattavo. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lattavo lands a jab to Rains's midsection. Anthony Lattavo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lattavo lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rains is rocked! Lattavo lands with a right and another and another! Rains is in big trouble! Lattavo lands again and this time it's lights out for Rains! A quality knockout there for Lattavo.
