The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose checks a leg kick nicely.

A bone on bone clash there as Rose blocks the leg kick.

Sodium ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Jason Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rose has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sodium is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Rose has the hooks in. Sodium is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Rose takes Sodium's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Sodium is in trouble.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sodium controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad spot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jason Rose will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Sodium counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rose won't be happy with that.
Rose is trying to control Sodium's posture but Sodium avoids it.
Rose avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sodium.
Rose is looking for a sweep.
Sodium throwing strikes but Rose manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Rose wants to control but Sodium is keeping him busy.
Sodium is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at CW's Elite Kung-Fu Academy, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Sodium tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rose wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sodium is not content to let Rose control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Rose.
Rose misses the jab.
An inside leg kick lands from Sodium.

Rose misses the jab.
Rose lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Sodium lands a jab to the nose.
Rose darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rose, as that shot connected.

Rose connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sodium. Sodium circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Sodium is rocked!
Sodium shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Oh Sodium is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A punch lands to the side of Sodium 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rose keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Jason Rose seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rose fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sodium manages to avoid it.
Rose connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Sodium! He's out on his feet! Rose rushes in and drops Sodium with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
