Valuev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Fighter looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Valuev is looking to advance position but Fighter won't allow it.
Valuev throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Valuev wants to pass to mount but Fighter is defending the position.

Valuev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Fighter tries to roll over but Valuev keeps him under control.

Fighter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Valuev prevents Fighter from improving his position.
Fighter has hold of Valuev's hands but Valuev slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Valuev sitting and controlling from the half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Fighter manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Valuev is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Fighter has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Valuev is looking to defend but Fighter has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Valuev! Fighter pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Valuev taps out and this one is all over!

Japn Fighter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
