The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sexton.
Sexton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Peligrino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sexton has momentary wrist control but Peligrino slips an elbow through the middle.
Peligrino loads up on a big left hand. Sexton felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Peligrino looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Sexton can't hide his disappointment, as Peligrino celebrates the victory.
