The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilmers getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Simmons takes a shot right to the bread basket. Simmons lands the left hand. Simmons looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kilmers lands with a straight right. Simmons didn't see that one coming. Simmons scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Simmons wants to control but Kilmers is keeping him busy. Simmons tries to advance to mount but Kilmers denies him. Simmons wants to control but Kilmers is keeping him busy. Kilmers is letting Simmons control him for a moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Kilmers scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Kilmers throws a left that rocks Simmons and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kilmers dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Simmons regain composure!

Kilmers trying to control the position but Simmons is working away. Kilmers tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Kilmers has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Simmons's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simmons missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simmons working away from the top, dropping strikes. Simmons sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Simmons lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Clive Simmons just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Simmons shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kilmers's guard. Simmons missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Simmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Kilmers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kilmers keeping full guard, as Simmons tries to pass. Simmons seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kilmers pulls Simmons in to control the position. Kilmers being controlled here, momentarily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kilmers looking to control.

Simmons slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Simmons accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kilmers keeping moving, preventing Simmons from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Clive Simmons comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Simmons has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
