Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sim Salabim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chevy Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nguyen has chosen Oetori as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Nguyen.
Nguyen walks into a left hand.
Nguyen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Salabim scores with a nice strike.

Nguyen throws a right and a left that Salabim avoids nicely.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Salabim holds on and takes a little breather.

Salabim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nguyen connects with a couple of short punches.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nguyen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Salabim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nguyen sprawls well. Nguyen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salabim gets slowly back to his feet.
Nguyen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salabim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Sim Salabim will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
