The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Awa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Houdini was well out of range. Poor timing from Awa.

Awa looks to land a combination but Houdini avoids it well.

Houdini has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Awa regains guard immediately.
Awa is looking to stand back up but Houdini counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Awa.

Houdini is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Awa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Houdini.

Awa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Houdini gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Awa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Houdini throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Awa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Houdini is in Awa's guard.
