Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Troy Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andy Hisbane!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cannon moves into the clinch.
Hisbane trying to control the position but instead, Cannon has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hisbane into the cage.
Hisbane tries to land knees in the clinch but Cannon avoids the damage to the body.

Cannon blocks an elbow strike from Hisbane.

Hisbane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cannon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hisbane did well to prevent Cannon getting side control.

Cannon is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Well, if Cannon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.

Hisbane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cannon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cannon's back!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Cannon tries to escape but Hisbane has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Hisbane is looking for the choke from the back position but Cannon is controlling his hands well.
Cannon is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hisbane.

Cannon manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hisbane's guard. Nice work there by Cannon.
Cannon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Troy Cannon just wasn't active enough.
Cannon tries to clinch there but Hisbane circles away.
Cannon shoots in for a takedown but Hisbane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cannon shoots in for a double leg but Hisbane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hisbane leaves Cannon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Troy Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cannon throws a series of punches but Hisbane avoids them all with ease.
Hisbane throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cannon's head.


It looks like Troy Cannon has been cut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hisbane enables Cannon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hisbane manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cannon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hisbane throws a leg kick but Cannon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hisbane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hisbane connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Cannon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Cannon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hisbane wants to improve his position but Cannon is controlling well.

Hisbane makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hisbane.
Hisbane has a closed guard, preventing Cannon from standing up.

Hisbane is trying to control the position but Cannon postures up.
Hisbane is pulling down on Cannon's head. It's preventing any offense from Cannon, at least for the moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hisbane takes a swing at Cannon's ribcage but misses.
Hisbane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cannon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cannon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hisbane manages to avoid it.
Cannon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Troy Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hisbane closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Cannon looking to throw knees to the head but Hisbane is blocking nicely.

Hisbane wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hisbane tries to break free but Cannon pushes him back against the cage.
Hisbane throws a knee to the head but misses.

Cannon tries to pull guard but Hisbane holds him up against the cage and eventually Cannon drops back down to his feet.
Hisbane throws an elbow but it misses.
Cannon avoids a wild elbow strike from Hisbane.
Hisbane lands a nice uppercut.
Cannon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hisbane has him pressed against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hisbane.
Hisbane creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Cannon jumps guard but Hisbane stands there with Cannon around his waist. Cannon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hisbane obliges.

Cannon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hisbane to keep the fight standing.

Cannon gets control of Hisbane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cannon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Troy Cannon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hisbane postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cannon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hisbane, into his guard.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Hisbane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Cannon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cannon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hisbane.
Cannon goes for a double leg but Hisbane avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hisbane continues to drive forward.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hisbane creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cannon's defenses.
Hisbane lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Cannon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hisbane smiles and moves away.
Cannon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cannon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hisbane did well to prevent Cannon getting side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hisbane is looking for a sweep. Cannon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cannon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hisbane trying to hold on to Cannon's head to control him but Cannon postures up.
Cannon is trying to control the action in half guard but Hisbane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hisbane is looking to improve his position.
Cannon is taking a breather. Hisbane says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We're going to have a standup here because Troy Cannon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hisbane throws a leg kick but Cannon moved away.
Hisbane fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Cannon shoots in and gets a takedown into Hisbane's guard.

Cannon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cannon wants to stand but Hisbane has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Troy Cannon just wasn't active enough.
Cannon throws a low kick but Hisbane moves out of range easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Troy Cannon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cannon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
