The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson lands a nice shot to the body.
Yesophite tries to bum rush Dawson with a series of wild strikes but Dawson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Yesophite darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Yesophite prevents Dawson from improving his position.
Yesophite perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Yesophite thows a huge punch but Dawson dodges it nicely.
Yesophite thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Yesophite passes to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dawson striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Yesophite is looking to take a break and control but Dawson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Yesophite throws an elbow but Dawson slips to the side and avoids it well.

Dawson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yesophite on the ground.
Yesophite lands a decent elbow from side control.
Yesophite postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Dawson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Yesophite in side control lands a decent elbow.

Yesophite wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dawson keeps working.
Yesophite looks up at the clock and then as Dawson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Yesophite smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dawson is not content to let Yesophite control the position.
Yesophite lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Dawson is rocked!
Yesophite scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Dawson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Yesophite can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
