And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luis Santos!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solis throws a sloppy head kick
and Santos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Santos moves into range and clinches up with Solis.
Solis jumps guard but Santos stands there with Solis around his waist. Solis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Santos looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Solis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Santos dives in and grabs Solis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Solis pushes down on Santos's head and hops out.

Santos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Solis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santos somewhat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Santos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santos is defended easily by Solis.

Solis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Santos walks away with a smile on his face. Solis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Santos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Solis, pushing him back against the cage.
Solis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Santos to keep the fight standing.
Santos wants a takedown but no success here.
Solis tries to pull guard but Santos won't allow it.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Santos holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Solis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Luis Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Santos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Solis manages to get himself to full guard.
Solis controls Santos momentarily but Santos frees himself.
Santos won't allow Solis to sweep him here.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kenton Solis just wasn't active enough.

Santos closes the distance and pushes Solis back into the cage.

Solis pulls guard effortlessly.
Santos stands up over Solis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Santos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Luis Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
