Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaname Tosen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaname Tosen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Logan Steele!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Steele shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Steele has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tosen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Steele working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Steele postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tosen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Steele, into his guard.
Steele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tosen defends it easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We've been hearing good reports from Tosen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Tosen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Steele has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
