The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcolini connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rogers's hands. Marcolini is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rogers.
It looks like Marco Marcolini has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rogers throws the left hand but Marcolini avoids the punch easily. Rogers misses with a double jab.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marcolini trying to stall but Rogers improves his position.
A frustrated look appears on Rogers's face as he tries to break the clinch. Rogers tries to break the clinch but Marcolini is controlling the position. Rogers tries to circle away but Marcolini has him pinned against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marco Marcolini will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Marco Marcolini's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Marcolini. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Rogers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Marcolini has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rogers is not content to let Marcolini control the position. Marcolini sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rogers is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Marcolini softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Rogers is out cold! Marcolini jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
