Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monte Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Riverburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lara shoots in for a double leg but Riverburn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Riverburn drives through and clinches with Lara against the cage.
Riverburn is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lara is defending well for now.
Riverburn pushes off an throws an elbow but Lara leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Lara is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lara tries to pull guard but Riverburn won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monte Lara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lara pulls guard successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Riverburn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lara, up you get!
Riverburn lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Monte Lara has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lara stuffs the takedown.
Riverburn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lara shoots in but no luck this time.
Riverburn swings away with a leg kick that misses.
A head kick from Riverburn lands but Lara takes it in his stride.
Riverburn lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Lara crumples to the floor! Riverburn milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
