Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Boothe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinicius Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramos has chosen The Killers - Somebody Told Me as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thomas Boothe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius Ramos! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boothe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ramos lands a nice shot to the body.
Boothe tries a head kick but it misses.
Boothe throws a quick inside leg kick. Ramos jabbing away but nothing is landing. Boothe throws a wild body kick that Ramos sees coming a mile off. Nice cross by Boothe. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ramos misses with a wild body shot. Ramos throws a jab but it's blocked by Boothe. Boothe seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ramos loads up on a big right hand but Boothe slips the punch. Ramos misses the shot to the body. Vinicius Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramos misses with a body shot.

Boothe getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Ramos lunges at Boothe with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Boothe's hand. Ramos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boothe misses with a two punch combination.
An inside leg kick lands from Boothe. Boothe throws a leg kick but Ramos moved away. Thomas Boothe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ramos misses with a hook. Boothe ducked under it nicely. Ramos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Boothe throws a head kick that Ramos semi-blocks.
It looks like Vinicius Ramos has been cut. Boothe wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ramos takes the fight into the clinch. Ramos dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Ramos fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ramos is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Boothe to keep the fight standing. Ramos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boothe throws a head kick but Ramos moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boothe thumps Ramos with a low kick. Ramos misses with a hook. Boothe ducked under it nicely. Ramos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boothe lands with an overhand left. A thudding body kick lands there by Boothe!
Ramos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ramos throws a jab but it's blocked by Boothe. Ramos misses with a head kick.
Ramos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Boothe sees it coming and avoids it easily. Boothe lands a big head kick that sends Ramos tumbling to the mat! Boothe takes a step backwards and waves Ramos back to his feet - he wants the finish! Ramos jabbing away but nothing is landing. Boothe with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ramos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boothe. Boothe thows a body kick. Ramos tries to catch it but that hurt him. Ramos looks winded! Boothe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ramos takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ramos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. My spies in Turka Elite Gym inform me that Ramos has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Boothe is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boothe controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Boothe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boothe. Ramos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boothe dives on top into guard. Boothe is looking to advance position but Ramos has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Boothe gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos wants to work for an arm triangle but Boothe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ramos prevents Boothe from standing back up.
Ramos is looking to stall here but Boothe recovers full guard. Ramos stops Boothe from standing up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ramos throwing strikes but missing. Ramos throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Boothe dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vinicius Ramos's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Boothe misses with an uppercut. Boothe slips under a jab from Ramos. Boothe scores with a sloppy right hand. Ramos should have avoided that one. Ramos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boothe misses with a body kick. Boothe throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Boothe moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Boothe closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ramos avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ramos slips under a jab from Boothe. Boothe lands with a cross. Ramos swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boothe lands a nice shot to the body.
Ramos wants to clinch. Boothe needs to keep his hands up - Ramos had a free shot at his head there.

Boothe lands a jab. Thomas Boothe is winning the standup battle so far. Boothe scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ramos misses with a right hand and Boothe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ramos takes one on the button. A looping hook to the body misses from Ramos. Boothe does a little dance to reset his feet. Ramos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boothe did well to prevent Ramos getting side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ramos thows a huge punch but Boothe dodges it nicely.
Boothe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ramos is working away from the top position though. Ramos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ramos lands a nice short elbow. Ramos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boothe is just riding it out for now. Ramos eventually gives up the hold. Ramos looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boothe makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boothe misses with a straight left. A head kick misses from Boothe. Boothe finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Boothe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ramos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boothe scrambles back to his feet. Ramos misses with a leg kick. Boothe cracks Ramos with a right hand to the side of the head. Ramos throws an off balance right hand
and Boothe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ramos tries to bum rush Boothe with a series of wild strikes but Boothe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boothe walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ramos lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Ramos checks the leg kick. Boothe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Ramos misses with a looping right. Ramos misses with a looping left. Boothe lands with a cross. Boothe scores with a jab.
That has opened up Vinicius Ramos's cut even more.

Ramos is still on wobbly legs! Can Boothe finish him? Ramos shoots in looking for a takedown but Boothe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ramos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Boothe weaves into range and cracks Ramos right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Ramos goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Boothe is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
