Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tigre Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaime Sonny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh comes to the cage accompanied by Enya-Sail Away. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tigre Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jaime Sonny!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singh shoots in and bounces Sonny off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Singh landing some decent shots from guard.
Sonny looking to hit a scissor sweep but Singh is one step ahead there.
Sonny is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Sonny has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Singh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Singh is pushing down on Sonny's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sonny is fighting to maintain full guard but Singh has managed to sneak the leg through.
Singh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Singh is working for a kimura but Sonny is defending it quite comfortably.
Sonny wants to get back to full guard.
Singh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sonny with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sonny is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sonny drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Singh dives on top into guard.

Singh drops back looking for a leg! Sonny is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sonny manages to kick Singh off! Singh jumps back into Sonny's guard.

Sonny is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Singh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Singh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Singh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Singh is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Singh lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Singh's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sonny working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Singh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Singh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jaime Sonny will probably get the nod.

Sonny sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Singh's guard.

Sonny wants to pass the guard but Singh is keeping the position.
Sonny passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Sonny thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Singh is looking for a sweep.

Sonny goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Singh rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sonny's guard! Nice work there by Singh!
Sonny has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Singh has passed into side control.

Singh is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sonny looks calm but he's in trouble here. Singh gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sonny is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Singh lets go of the hold and Sonny can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tigre Singh!
Our winner, Tigre Singh, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
