Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cecil Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eduardo Rocha is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cecil Phillips! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Rocha! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocha wants to clinch. Phillips darts in and clinches Rocha up against the cage. Rocha can't get the takedown.
Phillips gets control of Rocha's arms and successfully pulls guard. Phillips will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Phillips is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rocha is looking for a sweep. Phillips is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Phillips moves nicely into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Phillips tries for a kimura but Rocha is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rocha can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phillips is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rocha is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rocha is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Phillips has just dragged him back down to the mat. Phillips wants to control but Rocha is keeping him busy. Phillips working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Rocha tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Phillips presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Rocha has given up his back here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Phillips has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Rocha's body.
Rocha avoids the strikes from Phillips. Phillips gets his hands free as Rocha looks to control. Rocha looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Rocha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Phillips. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rocha controlling Phillips 's hands. Phillips is working for a rear naked choke. Rocha is not defending it well and Phillips has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Rocha refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Rocha's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cecil Phillips!
