The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown looks to land a left hand but Janus moved out of range nicely.
Good leg kick by Janus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hugh Janus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brown.
Janus throws a nice inside leg kick.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt
and Janus counters by moving into the clinch.
Janus lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Come on Janus - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Brown is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Janus to keep the fight standing.
Hugh Janus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jarvis Brown.

Janus has Brown pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Brown is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Janus - that's hurt Brown badly! Oh, another knee lands and Brown is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Brown doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Hugh Janus!
Hugh Janus was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
