Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ey Bedard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ey Bedard has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ey Bedard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop with a lazy takedown attempt

and Bedard counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Bishop actively working from the bottom here.
Bedard is trying to control. Bishop wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bedard wants to stand up but Bishop has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Bedard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bishop can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bishop has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bedard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round but I would say that Ey Bedard will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bishop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bedard tries to avoid it but Bishop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bedard to the ground. Bedard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bedard moves away from the strike by Bishop.
Bedard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bishop defends well and Bedard ends up having to push Bishop into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bishop misses with a knee strike.
Bishop tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bedard tries to stall but Bishop uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Bedard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bishop gets caught flat footed, as Bedard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bishop wants to sweep but no luck.
Bishop pulls Bedard in close to prevent any damage.
Bishop is trying to control the position but Bedard postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bishop has his hands on Bedard's head, controlling the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andre Bishop was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bedard moves into the clinch successfully.
Bishop can't get the takedown.
Ey Bedard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Bishop.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bishop fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bedard avoids it really well and circles away.

Bedard misses the jab.
Bishop misses with a takedown attempt - Bedard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bishop misses with a head kick.
Bishop tries to clinch there but Bedard circles away.
Bishop swats away the attempt to clinch by Bedard.

and Bishop counters with a single leg into guard. Bedard didn't expect that.
Bedard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bishop wants to get up but he can't break Bedard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bishop wants to control from the top but Bedard keeps moving.

Bishop is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bedard will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Bishop wants to control but Bedard is keeping him busy.
