The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diesel checks a leg kick nicely.
Diesel moves out of range of the body kick from Sobis.
Sobis scores with a nice body kick.

Diesel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Diesel pulls Sobis into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Diesel is trying to keep Sobis in close.

Diesel working for a triangle but Sobis defends it easily.
Diesel is pulling down on Sobis's head. It's preventing any offense from Sobis, at least for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Diesel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Diesel has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Diesel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diesel cracks Sobis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Diesel misses with a head shot.
Diesel tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Sobis tries to buck Diesel off but he can't manage it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Diesel looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diesel is looking to work his way around to Sobis's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Diesel wants to get back to his feet but Sobis is holding on tight.

Diesel jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sobis manages to avoid the submission attempt.
A lull in the action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sobis gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trey Diesel dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sobis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diesel sprawling to the canvas! Diesel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sobis finish him?!

It looks like Trey Diesel has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sobis feints a jab and as Diesel dips his head, Sobis unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Diesel right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Diesel falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Sobis smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
