Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ely Bedard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ely Bedard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Wallace Jefferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ely Bedard!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Jefferson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bedard tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jefferson counters with a big head kick but Bedard shrugs it off.

Bedard is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jefferson's half guard.
Jefferson is staying active underneath Bedard, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jefferson is trying to maintain the position but Bedard is very close to passing his half guard.
Bedard looks to land a strike but Jefferson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Jefferson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bedard wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.
Bedard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jefferson is proving hard to escape from.

Ely Bedard has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jefferson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bedard circles away.
Bedard shoots in for a takedown but Jefferson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jefferson tries to work over Bedard's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jefferson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bedard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bedard tries to clinch there but Jefferson circles away.
Jefferson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bedard's waist but Bedard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jefferson off to one side.

Jefferson tries to score a body lock takedown but Bedard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wallace Jefferson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Come on Bedard - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Jefferson jumps guard but Bedard stands there with Jefferson around his waist. Jefferson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bedard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jefferson's waist but Jefferson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bedard off to one side.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ely Bedard will probably get the nod.

Jefferson dives in and grabs Bedard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bedard pushes down on Jefferson's head and hops out.
Jefferson throws a nice looking combination but Bedard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bedard lands with a slapping head kick.
Wallace Jefferson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jefferson throws a head kick that misses.
Bedard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jefferson but Jefferson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bedard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Bedard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jefferson did well to prevent Bedard getting side control.

Jefferson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bedard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jefferson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ely Bedard wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bedard misses with a takedown attempt - Jefferson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jefferson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bedard.
Jefferson tries to clinch up but Bedard circles away and keeps his distance.
Jefferson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bedard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Horrible takedown by Bedard or perhaps it was just good defense by Jefferson which made him look bad.
Wallace Jefferson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ely Bedard.

Bedard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bedard is breathing heavily.
Jefferson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bedard pinned against the cage. Bedard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bedard manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Bedard is trying to break the clinch but Jefferson is controlling him.
Bedard jumps guard but Jefferson stands there with Bedard around his waist. Bedard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jefferson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Jefferson has his feet on Bedard's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Jefferson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jefferson tries a head kick but it misses.

Bedard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jefferson defends well and Bedard ends up having to push Jefferson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Jefferson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bedard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jefferson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jefferson goes for a double leg but Bedard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bedard continues to drive forward.
Bedard pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Jefferson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bedard fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bedard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bedard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bedard goes for a double leg but Jefferson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jefferson continues to drive forward.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bedard is defended easily by Jefferson.
Bedard shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jefferson but Jefferson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wallace Jefferson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ely Bedard.
Bedard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bedard throws a punch but it's blocked by Jefferson.

I would just about give that final round to Ely Bedard.
I've got Bedard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
