Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Hispanyola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes into the arena with Blue clear sky blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that Sparky Anderson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sparky Anderson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronaldo Hispanyola!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hispanyola tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hispanyola can't keep his opponent in guard - Anderson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Anderson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hispanyola sees it coming and defends easily.
Anderson is pressing down on Hispanyola's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hispanyola is holding on for now.
Anderson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hispanyola wants to improve his position but Anderson is controlling well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hispanyola wants to control but Anderson passes into side.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
You can see the frustration on Hispanyola's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson staying calm.

Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Anderson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hispanyola is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hispanyola is looking to reverse the position.
Anderson moves into full mount!
Hispanyola keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Anderson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Anderson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hispanyola can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hispanyola is trying desperately to improve position.
Hispanyola has given up his back here. Will Anderson look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Anderson working for a choke but Hispanyola is defending well.
What can Hispanyola do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Anderson has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hispanyola is defending well but eventually Anderson manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hispanyola has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sparky Anderson!
A very excited looking Sparky Anderson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
