Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brett Aarons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Te Huna!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Te Huna misses with a two punch combination.
Aarons has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites in the buildup to the fight.

and Aarons counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Te Huna connects with a good right hand that stumbles Aarons. Aarons circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Aarons tries to clinch but Te Huna is having none of it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Aarons looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Te Huna has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Aarons is looking to stand up but Te Huna isn't so interested in that idea.
Aarons will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Aarons wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Te Huna manages to pass to side control.
Te Huna content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Aarons is trying to stand up here but Te Huna is controlling him well.

James Te Huna has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Brett Aarons will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Aarons's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Te Huna tries to bum rush Aarons with a series of wild strikes but Aarons uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

No joy there for Aarons, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Te Huna throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aarons's waist but Aarons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Te Huna off to one side.
Aarons lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Te Huna backs up against the cage.

Brett Aarons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Te Huna lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aarons circles away quickly and effectively.
Te Huna looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Aarons is fending him off so far but Te Huna persists. Nope, Aarons circles away and we're back to standing.

Te Huna is rocked!
Aarons drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Te Huna right on the button. Te Huna goes down! Aarons follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Aarons gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brett Aarons!
Brett Aarons decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
