The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burden misses with a body kick.

Burden closes the distance and clinches up with Carrier, looking for a takedown. Burden pushes Carrier against the cage but Carrier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Burden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carrier pinned against the cage. Carrier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Carrier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Burden goes for a double leg but Carrier avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carrier continues to drive forward.

Burden jumps guard but Carrier turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Carrier's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Burden shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Burden shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Burden showed some decent athleticism there.

and Carrier counters with a series of strikes. Burden will be more careful next time no doubt.
Burden is breathing heavily.
Carrier lands with a shot to the body.
Carrier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burden as he avoids it easily.
Nice takedown defense from Carrier. No joy for Burden on that attempt.
Carrier lands a big right hook! Burden looks hurt but is still standing! Carrier lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Burden falls down and Carrier dives in with a huge hammer fist! Burden's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Carrier runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
