Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Moura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson is looking to clinch but Moura is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Moura. Danga de danga de dang - Moura scores with a four punch combination! Henderson shoots for a takedown but Moura saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Henderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Moura fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moura clinches up with Henderson and pushes him back against the cage. Moura breaks from the clinch.
Moura looks to land a combination. Henderson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Henderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Henderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moura circles away. Ruben Moura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Henderson. Henderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moura's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Henderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moura swivels though and keeps the full guard. Moura throws his legs up looking for a submission but Henderson uses it to pass to side control.
Moura takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moura can't do much from the bottom here. Henderson wants to control but Moura is keeping him busy. Moura takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Moura throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Moura is working to avoid the ground and pound but Henderson connects with a decent elbow. Henderson wants to stand but Moura has his arm trapped. Henderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moura keeps working. Moura is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson is putting a hurting on Moura here, landing some big shots from side control. Henderson controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moura is trying to improve his position. The referee asks Henderson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Henderson prefers to stall for the moment though. Moura is looking to reverse the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Henderson working away. Henderson in side control lands a decent elbow. Henderson is trying to get an arm triangle but Moura is defending well. Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Moura knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moura being controlled for a moment. Moura takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Moura regains half guard there - taking advantage of Henderson's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Henderson is looking to advance position but Moura won't allow it. Moura is refusing to be controlled, as Henderson sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Henderson connects with a nice short shot to Moura's temple. Henderson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Moura wants to get back to full guard. Henderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Moura is looking to control Henderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moura avoid being mounted? Henderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moura does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Henderson working Moura over with strikes. Moura wants to improve his position but Henderson is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Henderson slips a nice elbow through Moura's hands, connecting with Moura's forehead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice strikes from Henderson there. Henderson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Moura controls his leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Henderson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Moura lands with a kick to the temple. Henderson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Moura stuffs the takedown attempt from Henderson. Henderson gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Henderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Moura which made him look bad. Henderson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moura sprawls well. Moura wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Henderson gets slowly back to his feet. Ruben Moura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Henderson. Moura misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Moura scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Moura rushes Henderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Henderson can't break the clinch.
Nice elbow from Moura. Moura lands an elbow inside that Henderson shrugs off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Henderson has had enough of the clinch but Moura keeps him there for the moment.

Henderson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Henderson is breathing heavily. Henderson instigates a clinch. Henderson keeps control of Moura as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Moura comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Moura effectively controlling the action here. Henderson is looking to take this one to the mat. Nice elbow from Moura. Henderson avoids the elbow strike from Moura, against the cage.
Moura creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Henderson's defenses. Moura gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Henderson.
Moura breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson moves in looking to clinch but Moura pushes him off. Moura has taken the fight to the clinch.
Henderson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Henderson tries to pull guard but Moura holds him up against the cage and eventually Henderson drops back down to his feet.
Moura manages to break the clinch.
Moura lands a big head kick that sends Henderson tumbling to the mat! Moura takes a step backwards and waves Henderson back to his feet - he wants the finish! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Henderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Henderson somewhat. The fight moves into the clinch position. Moura manages to break the clinch.
Ruben Moura is winning the standup battle so far. Moura moves in looking to clinch but Henderson pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moura lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Henderson backs up against the cage.
Henderson is rocked! Moura finds Henderson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Henderson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Moura lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Henderson will be OK.
