The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minotauro connects with a solid leg kick.
Heggs keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Minotauro.
Minotauro uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Heggs has time to react.
Heggs has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Minotauro walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Heggs checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Minotauro throws the kick towards the body but Heggs avoids it.
Minotauro lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Heggs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heggs is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Heggs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minotauro moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Heggs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

It looks like Ze Minotauro has been cut.

Heggs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Minotauro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Minotauro misses with a lunging right hand
and Heggs counters with a nice right hand that sends Minotauro toppling to the canvas! Minotauro scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Heggs finish him?!
Minotauro is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Heggs throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Minotauro makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Heggs really felt that one!

Minotauro takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Minotauro throws a hook to the side of Heggs's head but Heggs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Minotauro does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

No joy there for Heggs, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Heggs lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Heggs feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Minotauro sprawling to the canvas! Minotauro rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Heggs finish him?!
That has opened up Ze Minotauro's cut even more.

Minotauro moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Heggs tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Minotauro paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Minotauro leaves his chin hanging out and Heggs seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Minotauro crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
