The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dandy misses with a wild combination.
Good standup being displayed there by Dandy as he connects with a hook.
Dandy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beaver manages to avoid it.
Dandy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dandy lands a left and a right that send Beaver crashing to the mat, dazed. Dandy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Matthew Beaver has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dandy throws a jab when Beaver was well out of range.
Dandy jabs at Beaver's body.
Dandy throws an off balance right hand
and Beaver holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dandy is trying to break the clinch but Beaver is controlling him.
Beaver keeps control of Dandy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dandy tries to break the clinch but Beaver is controlling the position.
Beaver goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dandy prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dandy breaks the clinch.
Dandy throws a good cross that connects.
Dandy lands a big uppercut and Beaver crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Beaver looks OK. Dandy waves Beaver back to his feet!
Beaver is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dandy throws the left hand but Beaver avoids the punch easily.
Dandy connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Beaver out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Dandy!
