Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Luzhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Wasshammar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luzhin's entrance music is Toccata and Fugue. A fine choice. Wasshammar has chosen Lupe Fiasco - The Show Goes On as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikolai Luzhin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Thor Wasshammar! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luzhin lands with a straight right. Wasshammar didn't see that one coming. A slapping leg kick lands for Luzhin.
Wasshammar ducks right into an uppercut from Luzhin. Luzhin ducks under a wild hook from Wasshammar. Wasshammar scores with a shot to the body.
Luzhin scores with a leg kick.
Luzhin throws a good cross that connects.
Luzhin stuffs the takedown. A jab from Luzhin misses. Luzhin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Luzhin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Wasshammar moves out of range of the leg kick from Luzhin. Luzhin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wasshammar's head. Wasshammar gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Wasshammar misses with a body shot.
Wasshammar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wasshammar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Wasshammar prevents Luzhin from improving his position. Luzhin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Luzhin tries to get out of the position. Wasshammar is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Luzhin regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luzhin trying to control the position here. Wasshammar stopping the sweep attempt from Luzhin.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wasshammar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Luzhin wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nikolai Luzhin wasn't doing enough on the ground. Wasshammar misses with a lunging right hand
and Luzhin counters with an outside leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Luzhin. Luzhin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Luzhin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Luzhin lands a leg kick that knocks Wasshammar off balance momentarily. An inside leg kick from Luzhin misses. Luzhin throws a looping overhand right but Wasshammar ducks down to avoid it. Luzhin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wasshammar has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Luzhin loads up on a big right hand but Wasshammar slips the punch. A punch combination from Luzhin misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luzhin lands a nice looking body shot.
Luzhin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nice body kick there by Luzhin. Wasshammar looks to land a right hand but Luzhin moved out of range. Luzhin tries to clinch there but Wasshammar circles away.
Luzhin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A solid body kick from Luzhin. Wasshammar walks into a stiff left hand from Luzhin. Luzhin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Wasshammar takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Luzhin connects with a high kick. Wasshammar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Luzhin counter with a right hand. Luzhin scores with a nice strike. Donk. Luzhin catches Wasshammar right on the button with a cross. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Luzhin dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Good shot there by Luzhin. Luzhin darts in trying to clinch enabling Wasshammar to counter with a crisp jab. Wasshammar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Luzhin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Luzhin misses with a hook. Wasshammar checks a low kick from Luzhin. Luzhin feints and then cracks Wasshammar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wasshammar down. Luzhin throws a nice head kick!
Nikolai Luzhin is winning the standup battle so far. Wasshammar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Luzhin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Luzhin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Luzhin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nikolai Luzhin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wasshammar jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wasshammar misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luzhin lands a really nice looking cross but Wasshammar seems unphased.
Luzhin looks to throw the jab but Wasshammar is out of range. Luzhin closes the distance and clinches. Luzhin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wasshammar trying to stall but Luzhin improves his position.
Wasshammar looking for a takedown. Wasshammar is breathing heavily. Luzhin stops a takedown attempt from Wasshammar.
Wasshammar wants to get back to striking at distance but Luzhin won't allow it.
Luzhin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wasshammar misses with a punch to the body.
Luzhin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wasshammar's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Luzhin with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Wasshammar is rocked!
It looks like Thor Wasshammar has been cut. Luzhin with a knee to the head.
Wasshammar is still on wobbly legs! Can Luzhin finish him? Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Luzhin obliges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luzhin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Luzhin scores with a shot to the side of Wasshammar's head. Wasshammar takes a knee to the side of the body. Luzhin drops Wasshammar onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Wasshammar is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Luzhin has Wasshammar tight in a Thai clinch... and there's a huge knee which drops Wasshammar to the floor. He's out cold!! I hope he's still got all his teeth!
