Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Almu Tantor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tantor comes into the arena with tantor blaring out of the sound system. Almu Tantor has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rubin Carter!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Tantor as he connects with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carter has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Carter throws a leg kick but Tantor checks it.
Carter rushes Tantor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tantor scores with a shot to the side of Carter's head.

Carter has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tantor after a bit of a struggle.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tantor.
Tantor misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tantor misses with a hook from the clinch.
Tantor tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Carter's elbow.
Tantor misses with some punches.
Carter lands with a right to the head.
Tantor scores with a nice hook to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tantor smiles and moves away.
Carter loads up on a big right hand but Tantor slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tantor's corner calls for a 1-2. Tantor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Good work by Carter as he checks the leg kick.
Tantor lands a big head kick that sends Carter to the canvas! Tantor follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Almu Tantor!
Almu Tantor decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
