Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between rocky marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Thoas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thoas gets caught flat footed, as marciano shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
marciano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thoas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
marciano postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Thoas is refusing to be controlled, as marciano sits in half guard.
Thoas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but marciano scores with a couple of nice shots.
marciano looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

marciano is stalling here. Thoas is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! marciano seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Thoas has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
