Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pirate Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hondor Lam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dan checks a leg kick nicely.

Lam darts in looking for a takedown but Dan gets double underhooks and turns Lam into the cage.
Lam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dan loads up on a big right hand but Lam slips the punch.
Lam shoots in but no luck this time.

Dan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lam was well out of range. Poor timing from Dan.

and Lam counters by moving into the clinch.

Dan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lam.
Pirate Dan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hondor Lam.
Dan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lam sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dan slips a nice elbow through Lam's hands, connecting with Lam's forehead.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Dan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dan wants to free his trapped foot but Lam is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Lam pushes Dan off looking to stand but Dan dives back in and keeps control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lam can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dan is trying to control. Lam wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Dan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lam doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dan.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dan lands a nice short elbow.

Lam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dan is pressing down on Lam's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lam is holding on for now.

Dan moves into full mount! Lam won't be happy about that!
The referee warns Lam that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Dan breaks from Lam's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Lam looks winded!
Lam is in a horrible position here. Dan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Dan postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Lam badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Dan around the waist but Dan pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Dan is the winner by TKO! Dan jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pirate Dan!
