Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daiel White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daiel White has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bob Hansen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daiel White!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hansen.
White misses with a takedown

and Hansen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
White is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hansen to keep the fight standing.
White is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
White goes for a takedown attempt but Hansen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bob Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daiel White.

and Hansen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hansen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hansen pulls guard successfully.
White being controlled here momentarily.
Hansen wants to get back to his feet but White is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hansen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hansen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bob Hansen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
White gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hansen counters by clinching up.

Hansen seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Hansen gets control of White's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hansen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hansen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White won't allow Hansen to get back to his feet.
White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hansen pulls White in close to his closed guard and prevents White from doing any damage or advancing position.

White has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hansen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! White is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hansen pulls down on the head and he's put White to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bob Hansen!
