Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vic Vader! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wes Alvarez! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vader swinging wildly here.
Vader could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Alvarez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Vader is looking to escape. Alvarez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vader is looking to improve his position.
Vader is looking to control Alvarez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vader avoid being mounted? Alvarez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vader doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alvarez. Vader is trying to maintain the position but Alvarez is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vader has managed to free his arm - good work. Alvarez blocks the strikes from Vader.

Alvarez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vader controlling the position well. Alvarez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is thwarting Vader's attempts to control the position. Alvarez prevents Vader from standing back up.
Vader has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Alvarez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vader is just riding it out for now. Alvarez eventually gives up the hold. Alvarez is looking for a kimura here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vader is looking to escape. Alvarez seems to be looking for submissions.

Wes Alvarez dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Alvarez shoots in and drives through. Vader sprawls well. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Vader tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alvarez was well out of range. Poor timing from Vader. Alvarez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Vader might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Vader trying to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vader trying to hold on to Alvarez's head to control him but Alvarez postures up.
Alvarez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vader scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Alvarez manages to mount him!
Vader is trying to stand up. Vader wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Alvarez gets his hands free as Vader looks to control. Alvarez working for the choke. Alvarez has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vader just trying to survive but Alvarez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Alvarez looking for the choke from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vader wants to control his opponent's hands but Alvarez gets his hands free. Alvarez looking for the RNC. Vader defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez has got one arm under Vader's chin. This could be trouble... Vader trying to control the other hand but Alvarez gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Vader has tapped out! The fight is over!
