Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bors Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Kringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kringle has chosen Wating on the world to change, by John Mayer as his entrance music. Chris Kringle has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bors Hill's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bors Hill!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Kringle!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kringle closes the distance and pushes Hill back into the cage.
Kringle trying to land knees to the body.
Kringle lands a knee to the body.
Hill managing to block the knees to the body from Kringle.
Kringle unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hill lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Knees in the clinch landing for Kringle.
Kringle stops a takedown attempt from Hill.
Hill scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kringle lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Kringle throws a punch but it's blocked by Hill.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kringle tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hill avoids it.
Kringle throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Kringle blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hill makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kringle keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hill's efforts to push away.

Hill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kringle throws a leg kick that misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hill darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hill slips a jab from Kringle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hill uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kringle lands with a right hand.
Kringle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hill slips under a jab.

Kringle has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kringle is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Kringle is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hill is defending well for now.

Hill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hill misses with a body kick.

Kringle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kringle lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kringle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hill isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kringle stacks Hill on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kringle!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kringle trying to control the action but Hill is working from the bottom.
Kringle looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hill is avoiding damage well.
Hill tries to bench press Kringle off him but Kringle keeps the position.
Hill is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Machine Shop Training Center, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Kringle is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hill dodges the ground and pound from Kringle.
The strikes coming from Kringle are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Kringle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kringle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hill stops Kringle from passing to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hill parries the strikes from Kringle easily there. Kringle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hill to escape.
Hill struggling a bit here.
Kringle sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hill is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Kringle cracks Hill with a big elbow.
Hill is looking to regain half guard here but Kringle keeps moving and retains side control.
Hill wants to control but Kringle postures up.
Hill tries to control but Kringle manages to take his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hill wants to control his opponent's hands but Kringle gets his hands free.
Kringle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kringle is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Hill. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Hill is trying to break free.
Hill covers up after that shot from Kringle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hill trying to control the position but Kringle manages to sink in the hooks.
Well, with Kringle on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Hill is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Kringle scores with strikes from the back.
Hill tries to roll but Kringle sticks to his back.

Kringle drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Hill is in real trouble here! Kringle lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Kringle is delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Kringle! Chris Kringle retains his lightweight title!
Chris Kringle decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
