Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Red Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf's entrance music is Shawnee Sioux War Dance. A fine choice. Burton has chosen Trip Like I Do as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Red Wolf! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Colin Burton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burton shoots for a takedown but Wolf saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wolf throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wolf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burton tries to clinch but Wolf moves out of range. Wolf has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rape Academy in the buildup to the fight. Wolf throws a sloppy head kick and Burton moves out of range easily. Burton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wolf swats him away and circles back towards the center. Burton takes the fight into the clinch. Burton prevents Wolf from breaking the clinch. Wolf misses with a short punch on the inside. Wolf breaks the clinch.

Wolf swings for the body but Burton moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Burton wants the takedown. Wolf is fighting it off but Burton persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wolf's guard against the cage. Burton is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wolf is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wolf has escaped and now he's on top! Burton is trying to keep Wolf in close.

Wolf is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Burton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Burton tries to hold on but Wolf pushes him away. Burton is looking to improve his position but Wolf isn't that keen on the idea. Wolf controlling the pace for now.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wolf prevents Burton from getting the reversal. Burton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Wolf is pressed up against the cage. Burton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wolf down to the mat. Wolf avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Wolf throws a hook to the side of Burton's head but Burton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Wolf avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burton darts in looking for a takedown but Wolf gets double underhooks and turns Burton into the cage. Burton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wolf throws a front kick aimed at Burton's knee but Burton avoids it well. Nice takedown defense from Wolf. No joy for Burton on that attempt. Burton scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Burton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wolf has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Burton but great work by Wolf. Burton tries to bench press Wolf off him but Wolf keeps the position. Burton struggling a bit here. Burton stops Wolf from passing to mount. That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Burton is trying to get back to half guard. Wolf remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Burton wants to control but Wolf postures up. You can see the frustration on Burton's face as Wolf controls the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Burton tries to clinch but Wolf is having none of it. Burton moves out of range as Wolf throws a body kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wolf darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Burton closes the distance looking to clinch and Wolf counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Wolf keeps the fight on the outside. Colin Burton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Burton wants to clinch and Wolf counters with a straight right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wolf misses with a body shot.

Burton tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Wolf to counter with a crisp jab. Burton darts in and clinches Wolf up against the cage. Nice elbow from Burton. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Burton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wolf defends it easily. Wolf wants to control from the top but Burton keeps moving. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Red Wolf. Burton tries for a takedown but Wolf sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Colin Burton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Red Wolf is winning the standup battle so far.
